Facebook and Twitter Go Live on Xbox 360!!

The popularity of Microsoft's gaming console XBOX 360 has been increasing by the day. Now Microsoft has decided to go a step further and integrate popular social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. So the users of Xbox 360 will not only enjoy the standard games for the console but can also log on to their favourite social networking sites and enjoy the games in it.

As of now Facebook has not been completely integrated and users will not be able to play any games on it. But the basic features of Facebook have been incorporated and users can view pictures, update their status etc on their 42" LCD at home. Additional features have also been added, like you can see all your facebook friends who are on Xbox Live and all your Xbox live friends who are on facebook.

  1. I refuse to buy a gaming console - PC for me all the way! Buying those new consoles every 4 years is one of the greatest cons of all time :) PC for me!

  2. The popularity of gaming consoles as all purpose devices is increasing .. i saw an ad which said tht movies from netflix can now be streamed on the XBOX .. doesn't it seem like the gaming consoles are evolving into something we already have .. a PC !!

  3. Yea Mike i understand the reason why you think PC is the answer to gaming, I bought my laptop with a thought process along similar lines. But like Tarun says, the line between Gaming consoles and PC is blurring by the day. Very soon we'll have a console that can do everything that a PC can.

  5. I wonder if Google's Chrome OS will take things the other way. Away from hardware and towards the web. Besides playing games, what does a XBox do with Twitter and Facebook besides render webpages? Even Netflix is a gussied up webpage. I hope it catches on.
